Google AdWords is testing a new feature to help advertisers create ad headlines for their ads. There is a checkbox in the ad creation page within AdWords that reads “create a second ad with headlines in reverse order.” Not everyone is seeing it but Conrad O’Connell posted a screen shot of it on Twitter.
Here is that screen shot:
Ginny Marvin at Search Engine Land received a statement from Google on this test that reads “we’re always experimenting with the ways to create the best possible experience for our users but have nothing to announce at the time.” Sound familiar?
Supposedly, this is a popular situation where advertisers test their ad headlines in reverse order to see what works best. So Google is trying to make that more efficient.
