I am a big fan of analogies, espesially funny ones so when I spotted Gary Illyes of Google use one to describe the difference between the Google Cache and the Fetch as Google tool in Google Search Console, I had to share it with you.
Gary said:
- Google’s ranked cache is the completed soup, that ends up served
- Google Search Console fetch tool is a different soup using the same recipe, but no one will ever eat it
Here is the tweet:
Rank cache is the completed soup, that ends up served.
SC fetch is a different soup using the same recipe, but no one will ever eat it.— Gary “鯨理” Illyes (@methode) July 10, 2017
Tasty, don’t you think?
