Google at I/O announced a bunch of updates to Google Assistant and Google Home. Let me sum up the announcements in bullet format for all those who are busy:
- Google Assistant is coming to iOS devices
- Google Home devices can make phone calls for free, without a phone number attached to it.
- Proactive notifications are coming to Google Home but who looks at their Google Home
- Type to your Google Assistant on phones
- Google Lens lets you take photos and converse with Google Assistant around that
- and it is expanding to more countries and languages
