Google: Search Algorithm Does Not Look At Google Analytics Data

Google Analytics Search Console

Google again said they do not use Google Analytics data for their search ranking algorithm. Gary Illyes from Google had to say it again, he said it on Twitter this week that Google doesn’t use that data – period.

He said “we don’t use *anything* from Google analytics in the “algo”.”

Not for determining if a site is popular, to see bounce rates, to measure page speed or anything. Google will not use data from Google Analytics.

Google has said this numerous times since Google acquired Urchin and rebranded it to Google Analytics.

Of course, many don’t believe Google or Gary.

Forum discussion at Twitter.
