Google Officially Launches Job Postings Schema For Job Search Inclusion

Google Jobs

As you all know, Google launched Google for jobs at Google I/O a couple months ago after being caught testing job search features in search before that.

We also spotted a new schema for job postings that Google didn’t comment on.

Well, now, Google officially announced this new schema. It is open for all developers and webmasters over here. If you have job listings on your site, you can use this schema to enhance those listings in Google. To do so:

(1) Mark up your job listings with Job Posting structured data.
(2) Submit a sitemap (or an RSS or Atom feed) with a date for each listing.

Here are all the technical details.

Google also promised to add job listings filters to the Search Analytics report in Google Search Console. Although, they won’t release featured snippets filters to that report. 🙁

Enhanced job listings on Google looks like this:

In any event, you can learn more over here.
